Our emergency management services are offered by Mike Mandella who is the retired Director of Emergency Preparedness at Seattle-Tacoma Airport and former Port of Seattle Fire Chief.
Mike can help to create compliant emergency plans for any municipality, agency or entity--public or private--ranging from basic all-hazard plans to more specific plans such as pandemic flu or earthquake plans. He can assist you in thinking through a Continuity of Operations plan for your agency as well as provide assistance in the National Incident Management System (NIMS) compliance measures.
With a strong background in emergency management and collaborative negotiation techniques, Mike can assist in guiding and facilitating the coordination of multi-party response plans to prepare for the most effective response on a local or regional basis.
In addition, Mike is a FEMA-certified instructor and offers introductory, intermediate and advanced incident command trainings. Some or many of these trainings can be customized for your specific needs. Compliant with Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and NIMS requirements, these courses include training and certification in NIMS IS700, ICS 100, ICS 200, ICS 300, and ICS 400.
Mike can craft an entire emergency plan and develop the trainings to ready an organization for various potential events. Part of the training can be an exceptionally effective field or table-top exercise that ensures individual and multi-organizational coordination, execution and success.
